Retouch the red, or dye it all brown again?
Pros of brunette-ing again:
Other than heavy hints from certain parties that it would be better to go back to brown, and the fact that the longer I keep my hair red in uni the harder any offspring will laugh at me when they find the pictures?
Well, I've been thinking about May Ball (oddly enough) and the fact that I haven't yet got an outfit... and it has occurred to me that while brown hair can be made to go with everything, outfit selection has to be made very carefully if it isn't to clash with bright red hair.
I also get the feeling the hair may have raised the rate of the "lesbian" comments/discussions made by people who are aware of me but don't actually know me that well. While these people in my opinion can go show their hand of choice exactly how much they love it, and in all probability already do so reasonably often, I'm not sure how much of that kind of attention I'd like.
Also, brown hair is a lot easier to style, since I don't have to worry about whether or not the coloured bits are divided, whether the blonde streak is more intensely yellow today, that the red is turning grey-salmon again and is showing rather impressive roots... you get the idea.
Finally, I think it makes people look at me funny.
Cons of brunette-ing again:
I honestly don't think this looks incredibly bad on me - people have kind of accepted it now... haven't you..?
I kind of like being "Red Sarah". It's nice to have something marking you out. I mean, at least people tend to recognise having talked to me before.
Thirdly, a lot of time and effort (although admittedly not recently) went into making my hair look this way... it'd be a bit like giving up.
Finally... people won't look at me funny. I think. But if they do, it won't be to do with my hair, so I'd be more upset about it. As was pointed out: at least to some extent, it must distract some attention away from chest level...
People, I need to know your opinions on this, and reasonably soon. At the minute red is only marginally winning in my plans for dyeing, and that only because I told myself some time ago (when it started fading) that I'd touch it up after exams.
Ultimately, I will go do whatever I feel I want to do... but at the minute I'm not sure what that is, so let me know. Leave a comment or chat to me about it.
Oh. And anyone posting as "anonymous" who doesn't sign their name, doesn't get a say. I need to know who's weighing in on this. :P
Anyway. Apologies for living up to the blogger stereotype, and filling so much space with so much useless personal problem.

The lesbian issue - who's been hitting on you? Anyone we know? Or is it just me?
lol - by that I meant people pointing me out to all their available male friends as a lesbian... if any girls have been hitting on me they've been very subtle about it. :D
Go with the red bits. Looks rather funky. Might be too late by now, don't know when your exam finished (damned lazy vets, etc :P)
I was thinking that I could invoke the standard male "mmm, lesbians" bit as an argument, but on second thoughts I won't :)
Just you...
And the sheep...
And Allie...
Everyone's getting a piece of Sarah... :P
If you refer to the elephant, it's Ali, not Allie.
Allie is a girl's name. :P
Ali is also a girl's name
