End of term awaits

The last modular exam may have been dealt with, but vet school being what it is, there are still some fairly long days of lectures left *and* a couple of meetings to attend *and* an assignment (abattoir report) that I should really get out of the way before the "vacation" begins - and I leave Cambridge on Saturday.

Ah, yes. Out of a 5-week break from classes, I'm spending 4 weeks doing the required trailing around after grown-up vets. Not that I mind that aspect of it so much - it's just that it now feels like, even after I finish these 4 weeks (while studying for the end-of-year exam at the same time), I have about as much shadowing-the-grownups left to do as I've already done in the past year. Consequently, I'm already eyeing up the summer months in my calendar and fondly bidding them farewell.

I suppose I can appease myself with the thought that at least most of what I'm doing this week just requires me to show up, rather than spend two weeks preparing beforehand.
