Apparently the first week of term is CYCLE WEEK. Richard has just come back and James is visiting for this week, plus Cez was around for a couple of days at the start of the week, so what with home and friends and lectures there were reasons aplenty to try to be EVERYWHERE AT ONCE OMGCAPITALSLOL.
Ahem. For example:
Monday:
Cycle 20min (fast) to lectures. Cycle 10min fast to town in lunch break. Cycle 10min fast back to vet school. Cycle 15min to Sainsbury's for groceries. Cycle to Engineering to pick up bike #2 and push both home. Cycle to pub about 2hours after getting home. Cycle home again. Bed.
This pattern continued, sometimes at a slightly less crazy-person level of intensity, for most of the week, with to-lectures and home-from-lectures and to-social-life and back-from-social-life and the occasional town-centre-on-lunch break for the rest of the week.
My knee started hurting on the way home from lectures today - it pretty much hates the little circles that come with cycling so much now that it's hinting at what kneecapping feels like.
And I have plans to go meet up with people 10mins' cycle away later tonight...
