"Why are you packing already?"

There are definitely some less pleasant aspects to moving house. One in particular that probably only applies to us, however, is the need to have everything almost ready to go by the end of this week, in preparation for a move that is more than a month away.

Yes, really.

We should be moving in early/mid-September. However, in an unprecedented bout of brilliant forward planning, we decided that booking up the last week of July and the month of August for two family holidays - us, together, attending both of our families' holidays - shouldn't be an issue. This leaves us with a maximum of two weeks in September to pack up an entire flat, clean up and move out, which for many people might be fine; unfortunately, we both have a tendency to accumulate unnecessary crap in case it comes in useful someday.

So, I feel I should apologise if any of this post is more tangled and incoherent than usual - I've just returned from my turn to pick up more packing materials, and I have a feeling that the associated three-mile walk in the sun may have altered my general IQ. Since the main symptom I'm currently experiencing is a strong desire to sit around popping the giant roll of bubble wrap I brought home, I really can't be sure if that's due to temporary heat-retardation or my usual childishness.

At least I'll never be this bad.

Trying to make your blog update in Google Reader so I can read it more often, but it doesn't work! Is there a setting to allow this, or will that be too much of a bother?
