Just been looking at dermatology notes again in preparation for the exam on Monday, and found myself staring for about 2 minutes at the phrase "FOOT NOT ASS" pencilled in the margins.
I was thinking this was incredibly blunt, even by vet student standards, and was fairly mystified for a while... until I figured out "not ass" was an abbreviation of "not associated". Whoops.

Aha! I hadn't figured that out. I though it meant there was a caudo-lateral pattern. Like FAD.
That makes a lot more sense now.
