First of all: I've finished reading Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Which is lucky for everyone around me, since I've been hypersensitive to anything that sounds like it could be a spoiler (the end result looking something like this, actually). I had to start reading the lone copy in our house before Louise had even finished with it due to her tendency to give things away out of sheer carelessness - a single example:
Gerard (who doesn't know the plot), jokingly: "So have you reached the part where Harry dies yet?"
Louise, uncertain: "Harry doesn't die..."
[Brief pause.]
Louise, matter-of-fact: "[Name]'s dead, though."
[Room echoes with the anguished/murderous roar of two people waiting to read the book after her, both sitting barely two feet away.]
I eventually lost patience and commandeered the copy when she was asleep. I then ended up finishing it before her.
I was very, very tempted to start giving away huge chunks of the plot in the chapters she hadn't reached at that point. >:D

I had my first ever proper riding lesson yesterday, as a reward for helping out down at the stables last summer (and for the work I'm now doing there again). I always thought that the shootout-at-high-noon cowboy stance was some kind of intimidation thing, but now I know better - I've been walking like John Wayne for most of the day.
Including the duration of a trip to Tesco.
I'm sure somebody drew some amusement value from it.

The group holiday's been moved to a later week to fit in a few more people more conveniently (at my suggestion - don't worry, I wasn't kicked out :P). Sucks to be missing out... but now I save on the money and can possibly also guilt-trip people (if necessary) to attend a housewarming sometime in September, so there's always a silver lining. :D
And of course the hectic schedule is looking slightly calmer, although no doubt I'll commit myself to something else to re-fill that week...

Awww.... I was just feeling sad at your previous post's plan for the summer, since obviously the holiday's been moved. :(
But yes, housewarming! Oh and if your job doesn't start till the 20th, do you not feel like coming to the cottage for one night? *puppy dog eyes*
