Back for a shiny new term, with a shiny clutter-free computer.

Back in Cambridge, and now back on MSN and blogging again. My laptop has been pimped up a bit - well, technically spring-cleaned, since the reason it runs faster now is probably more to do with the removal of vast amounts of crap than other compsci-induced modifications.

I made sure to save work, photos and music, but kind of forgot to save bookmarks, so my webcomic and blog lists are all gone. Unfortunate, yes; however, it's exam term, so I'm actually kind of glad the temptation has been removed...

Regarding work: I've been granted an extension until the 4th May to get my dissertation in, due to the large amount of time screwed over by feeling like crap last term. My work-related luck actually took an unexpected upswing when I a) finished and sent my draft before the end of the stay at home, and b) got it back from Dr. Bainbridge on Friday with very few, very minor modifications suggested.

So... I'm actually kind of... finished..? Ahead of the original deadline..?

Yeah, I don't get it either.

I'm now awaiting the onset of revision panic and the day-long stints in the library that are likely to go with it. For the next couple of days, though, I think I'll be taking it easy, getting the dissertation polished and printed, and enjoying the sunshine. :)
