Return To The Forbidden Planet was immense. It's certainly one of the strangest things I've ever seen in any theatre, never mind the ADC - please bear in mind that this list includes plays such as a comical yet melancholy tale of an aging country farmer attempting to lose his virginity (the name of said tale currently escapes me, I'm afraid).
RttFP was a bizarre mixture of various bits of (occasionally-bastardised)* Shakespeare organised into a new(ish) storyline, spaced between moments of exposition through the medium of classic rock 'n' roll, and all wrapped up in the setting of futuristic space travel with all the usual B-movie trappings of silver costumes, blinky lights and short skirts.
It was ridiculous, well-performed, confusing, and awesome, and I think I pulled a muscle from too much clapping.

*"What light through yonder airlock breaks" being a good example.

"Sir! There's another beep on my radar! No, it's gone, no there it is again!"
"Two beeps or not two beeps??"
and
"I'll put a girder around the hull in twenty minutes."
