A slightly greenish tinge

Basically, it's never a good idea to allow (hah) your sleep to be disturbed for the majority of the nights in any given week.

It's also a terribly bad idea to choose (hah) the week that a virus is going round your university to do so, since there are few things* worse for your immune system than constant stress and exhaustion.

While I hesitate to use the n-word... a lot of the expected symptoms have been presenting, although thankfully not the one I was least looking forward to (I'll leave that up to your imagination). It seems that the claim on Wikipedia that being blood type B gives partial protection may actually be accurate in my case... that said, I'm basing my blood type on a second year pathology practical where I had difficulty drawing enough blood to run the test on.**

Either way, I ended up cancelling on a party I'd been looking forward to for a while, rather than go along and infect everyone by way of sharing cheese and chocolate fondues. Believe me, it took a lot of effort to make sure conscience and common sense won out over the student's instinct for FOOD GET FOOD OH GOD THERE'S CHOCOLATE.***

All I can say is, if a Resident Evil-style zombie-maker virus ever does come into existence, once it gets near a supply of chocolate we're all screwed.

*Apart from the obvious things, which mostly involve needles in one way or another.
** For reference, this would be roughly equivalent to the amount drawn by a midge trying to slim down.

*** Luckily, students often find that this instinct, when proving to be inconvenient, is tempered by other instincts such as IT COSTS HOW MUCH?! and MEH, BED IS CLOSER.
