Ethidium bromide is a rather nice colour - useful if a slightly irrational person ever fancied painting with cancer-in-a-bottle rather than watercolours.

Just as you figure out the absolute best always-perfect settings to have on the computer interface for the UV camera, some b...usy researcher comes along and changes the settings on the camera itself - the ones that you have no idea how to change.

Blurry photos are too convincing evidence of a result! Can't you see that blurry white bit a little below that bigger blurry white bit?

The best possible label for a sharps bin (for syringe needles, scalpels etc.) is: "[Name]'s Pot of Things that are SHARP and POINTY in Nature".
The second-best, if you're sadistic, would probably be "Lucky dip! Free sweets inside!"

If your hours are 9am-6pm - you will be in at 9, or very slightly after, every day. You will start work ASAP.

Sucks to be you! Let this be a lesson, and do computer work from now on. If your hours are 9-6, rock up ~1030, go for coffee 1045-1115, time to check facebook prior to lunch for an hour at 1200, maybe do some work before afternoon tea 1600-1700, then go home.
Also, purple nitrile gloves are cool. I'll trade you for some blue ones ;)
