I just acquired some cookbooks - they have an oddly satisfying effect, just sitting there on the shelf. Every time I see them I get a reminder of how much I enjoy cooking and baking, and that's a bit of a lift by itself - a bit like how smelling cookies baking is (fractionally) as tasty as eating them.
I wonder if buying some extra textbooks for the shelf would help with passive transfer of knowledge?
