{{tumbleweed}}

Actually, that's slightly misleading - things haven't been quiet in my life as such, but I'm aware that the blog's been fairly silent of late.

Ummm... I had a lot of things I could have written, but over the course of the week I've forgotten them a bit.

Of course I still haven't detailed the wondrous slimming operation on Tara's entire back end (which I'd promised myself had to at least be mentioned), but beyond saying that she looks like she had a less severe lion cut, and that there was enough discarded fur after the clipping to create clothing for a poor family of orphaned chihuahuas, I don't really need to say much more.

Since getting back, I've gone camping in Grantchester overnight (5 people in a 2-man tent, with venison burgers* on the barbecue since Sainsbury's was out of beefburgers at the time), got an amazing Easter egg from Steve, played a few nights' worth of poker and one of pool (lost poker horribly both times, but am beginning to win pool sometimes, so woo), plucked and dissected a cockerel (feathers are pretty), and watched a chicken lay an egg posthumously (with a fairly large amount of help from Brackenbury on the demonstration table).

Still waiting for the really good Cam weather to kick in.

I had a dream this morning about deformed foetus-like versions of people walking around in two independent parts and facing off against evil clones while a large cowboy with a walking stick attempted to strangle me... I woke up with the duvet in my mouth and over most of my face, which at least accounts for the strangling part.

*I do not like beef. Venison, however, is amazing, and gleeful quotations of "Run, Bambi! Don't look back!... Mother? Moooootherrrrrrrr??!!" isn't going to put me off. :P
