The wonders of university education.

Today I had to explain to my mother (due to the advert for Weebl & Bob soft toys on their site) what "yiffable" meant.

This rather scenic route also, out of necessity, took in such beauty spots as:

the explanation of the preferences of "furries" and their distinction from people who misuse their dogs or sheep

the meaning of "plushies" (as in, not the word's older use to mean "plush toys")

the meaning of "yiffing" (vb., see reference in: furries) and how I suspected it related to the claims that the toys were "100% yiffable (you sick freaks)".

Thank God for a university education! To think, were I not in uni, I would know nothing about any of these... um... to be honest, I'd have preferred not to know what certain people do to their childhood teddy bears.

I have a fairly vivid imagination.

Haha, that's also a toy company.

I'll write about the visit to look around a toy superstore tomorrow, when I'm not so tired. :)

See, that PROVES I'm not getting as much out of my university education as you are... I don't know any of these things, except about furries, vaguely.

She gets a borderline 2.ii and a "must try harder".

I think I'd probably be better off knowing more about the Neuro stuff than about furries, yiffing and the like...
