I haven't mentioned our cats in any detail here so far. However, cats have a habit of reshaping your daily routine and activities to fit around their choices and foibles.
Case in point: I write this on the fogged-up screen of a tablet from underneath the duvet.
I do this because Ralph (youngest cat, only boy, possibly actual mental deficiencies) really loves to show his affection once I'm lying in bed. This involves licking enthusiastically at my face until at least the top layer of skin has eroded. The only escape is pulling the covers over my head, but he still stays by me, purring like a buzz saw and trying to dig under the covers unless I give his face vigorous scratches.
So I end up blogging about it from under the duvet, on a breath-fogged tablet, with one hand, while the other sticks out to massage the fluffy head of the beast as he steals my pillow.
