Impending Houselessness

Last night we got word from the landlord that someone has finally agreed to take over the house from us at the start of November. Since we'd both spent about five days each gradually getting pulled into a depressive little thought-spiral of "No one wants it; we'll never get out; we'll be broke" to the point it was so much on our minds we could barely manage functional conversation on other topics on Wednesday, our initial reaction to the news was probably blank disbelief for about an hour before the "weeeheeheehee celebrate celebrate!" response kicked in.

Yeah, much happier now. :)

We decided proper celebration was in order (we had just saved ourselves a couple of rent payments, after all) so we and Han-Ley went to Strada for dinner - as many of you already know, it's damn good, not least the melty-middle warm chocolate puddings. We followed that up with champagne back at the house - and watching YouTube, because we're geeks.

Good things are happening. Good things happening to me! Yay!
