Interesting weekend...

So, as I've probably explained to the people at home, one of the greater pastimes available to Cambridge University students is the Assassins' Guild. Unfortunately, it is entirely capable of eating up your entire weekend, and every other free evening you have during the week...

This weekend (since as I said previously, I have no targets I can honourably go after) I joined a 4-man swoop on a fairly experienced assassin who'd basically just been too bloody lazy to keep himself from going on the incompetent list.

Phase 1:
Arrive in West Road unsure which building is No. 23. I hop a gate and head off around the back of the nearest house. Realise pretty soon afterwards that I am a) at the wrong house and b) separated from the team. Ask directions at the Caius Porters' Lodge. Run further down road.

2:
Turn up to number 23 to find only Tom and Steve present. Raccoon has apparently seen someone who looked like Ross The Inco and run away. Look at the front door for a few minutes, and take up positions in the shadows from which we can safely watch the door for activity.

3:
Get bored. Approach door. Am dragged back and told not to go getting myself seen lurking about and thus end up getting the entire team killed.

4:
Take up "safe" position behind Steve, from which I can neither see nor shoot at the front door. Feel rebellious. Walk quietly in the opposite direction and notice a small path between the shed and the wall.

5:
Follow path, realise it goes around the back of the building, come back, collect Tom while Steve guards the door, examine the back for possible entry routes.

6:
Find open kitchen window smaller than an A2 sheet of paper. Get a leg up from Tom, climb in, open door for Tom, wait as Tom goes to fetch Steve.

7:
Am informed that Tom has found and killed Ross on the way out. Notice that the kitchen window has made a large rip in a compromising location on the jeans worn for the raid.

8:
Meet up afterwards to celebrate a successful inco termination. Raccoon reappears. The room in general laughs down his claims of having only "walked briskly" away, and that he did not "cower in his room". He was in Revs' room, after all...
Tom falls asleep at some point.
He snores strangely.

Also, Cez killed Gordon Ball, one of her targets, today... unfortunately, since she knows Gordon fairly well, Philip Bridge (who was with her at that moment) thought she'd had a no-kill agreement with Gordon.

She was therefore - he thought - acting very dishonourably.

He grabbed an RBG and shot her.

After much debate, all concerned agreed to report the entire incident, even though this now means Cez and Gordon are out of the game and Phil goes on the Wanted list.

Open season on Philip Bridge!

First person to kill him gets the coveted MPhil award!

Hyperrrrrr... :D
